Privacy

Stead exists to inform homeowners about their own property. Our privacy position is structural, not fine print:

• We never sell your information as a lead. Not to agents, lenders, insurers, or anyone else. Our business does not depend on selling you — that is the point of it.
• Your data moves only on your action. Claiming a home links it to your email so alerts reach you. Data you add (like a corrected loan balance) improves your own reports.
• Public records stay public; your additions stay yours. Assessed values, permits, and recorded documents are county public records. Anything you contribute is private to your account.
• Delete anytime. Email us and your account and contributed data are removed. California residents: this satisfies your CCPA/CPRA deletion right; there is nothing to opt out of selling because we sell nothing.
• Email: sign-in links and property alerts only — a few times a year, when a number about your home actually changes. Every email has an unsubscribe.
